Discover Walk & Talk, Telephone & Online Counselling

I provide counselling face to face in the traditional setting of a quiet therapy room at Leach Lane Clinic, Lytham St.Annes (formerly KORE Therapy).

I also offer Walk & Talk Therapy if you want to take your sessions outdoors and online or telephone counselling if you prefer the comfort and discretion of your own environment.

Simply Walk & Talk Therapy

“Walking forward itself symbolises moving ahead”

What Is Walk & Talk Therapy?

It is counselling or psychotherapy sessions outdoors rather than in a conventional indoor setting or online.

For some people a shared space outdoors, walking side by side can feel less intimidating than a therapy room.

It is particularly useful for those people dealing with grief, life crisis or those who feel ‘stuck’.

What Are The Benefits Of  Walk & Talk Therapy?

Like other forms of exercise walking leads to the release of the body’s natural happy drugs, endorphins.

Research has shown that Walk & Talk Therapy improves depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem along with other difficulties.

By combining therapeutic support and walking in nature, Walk & Talk Therapy can be both meditative and grounding.

Calming Both Mind & Body

The action of walking forward is a metaphor for moving ahead, symbolising change, and getting past difficult times. Walking is an excellent form of exercise which not only improves your physical health but also improves mental alertness, relaxation, insight, problem solving and creativity. It enables the slowing down of racing thoughts to calm both mind and body.

Walk & Talk Therapy is an opportunity to engage both mind and body unlocking your difficulties and realising your potential.

Simply Telephone & Online Counselling

What Is Online Counselling?

It is a counselling or psychotherapy session using a desktop computer, tablet, or smartphone via Skype a secure free to download App. Or for those people not wanting a face to face conversation, it is simply a phone call or e-mail service.

Although I am not in the same room, I can help you to explore and understand your thoughts and feelings and support you to make changes if you need to.

Online counselling can provide the therapeutic help you require but have avoided previously.

What Are The Benefits Of Online Counselling?

There are many reasons why people choose online counselling.

  • For some it feels more discreet and confidential, less embarrassing to discuss personal issues.
  • Perhaps an evening appointment suits your lifestyle, after work or when your children are in bed.
  • There may be a difficulty being in a new environment due to agoraphobia or social anxiety.

I've achieved so much in just a few sessions

“I immediately felt calm & relaxed so I could be open & honest about how I was feeling. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Deborah’s services.

I have spent time working with other therapists & feel I have achieved so much more in just a few sessions compared to working with other therapists over many months.”
